supporting your farming innovation with independent carbon farming
soil and land services
YOUR SUCCESS, OUR SUPPORT, MEASURABLE RESULTS

Consultancy

Working with providers and businesses specialising in operationalising and improving systems, we provide comprehensive consultancy services associated with audit ready:

-
soil sampling
-
audit compliant processes
-
OHS

We have supported and contributed to industry and operational improvements since soil carbon projects were initiated under the ERF, including the first soil carbon project to be credited under ERF in Australia.

We all want our soils and landscapes to be healthy and thriving. Supporting people dedicated to improving soil and landscape health, boosting and measuring soil carbon, and needing independent expertise that is nested in scientifically based ecological principles is what we do best.

Our dedication is to supporting & improving farming systems and human communities by directly addressing the emerging challenges in agriculture. We have always remained independent helping to improve & measure soil quality including soil carbon and organic matter.

INDEPENDENT SOIL CARBON FARMING SERVICES IN AUSTRALIA

We specialise in providing you with independent, specialist field based soil sampling services - helping farmers in Australia to be carbon farmers and climate action heroes.

We sampled the first project in the world to obtain carbon credits generated by sequestering soil carbon under a regulated scheme (the ERF), that goes toward meeting Australia's response to climate change under the Paris Agreement.

Read more about the WORLD FIRST project sampled by Bootstrap Environmental Services.

Bootstrap Environmental Services continues to support farmers and carbon farming projects by providing highly specialised, methodology compliant, audit ready, soil science sampling services.

We have taken over 10,000 soil samples under various carbon methodologies and we are a leading industry provider.
WE WORK WITH FARMERS HELPING THEM TO BECOME CARBON FARMERS, REWARDED FOR THEIR INNOVATION

You engage us to undertake scientific and proven soil and land monitoring on farm, for research and trials, extension and carbon farming. Your ground breaking innovation is supported by scientific measurement of your land management practices. Complex carbon farming ERF methodologies are something we work with daily as are visual assessment tools that can be taught to land managers, giving way to self assess landscape condition.

Land managers increasing farm landscape function, economic profitability, productivity and social capacity through innovation and adaptation in soil health management are our collaborators and clients.
We specialise in certified, independent and full field based soil sampling services and consultancy to the carbon farming sector operating under the Climate Solutions Fund (CSF) (ex Emissions Reduction Fund - ERF) and increasingly, other programs.

We provide feedback to government and technical groups on agricultural carbon farming methodologies and assist organisations as subject matter experts.

Project partners and clients come from diverse backgrounds from research and industry groups, the corporate sector, universities, not for profits, government agencies and those with most influence, landholders.

Carbon Farming
We are enabling innovative carbon farmers to be the heroes of climate action. We sampled the soils on the World's and Australia's first carbon farming project to obtain Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCU's) under the Climate Solutions Fund (ex ERF) that go toward Australia's emissions reduction targets under the Paris Agreement. We sampled using the Carbon Credits Methodology Determination audited by the Clean Energy Regulator - West Gippsland VIC

Saltbush and Soil Carbon
Scotdesco Aboriginal Community leaving a legacy, and empowering people with saltbush and soil carbon projects - we trained community members in soil coring for carbon farming, did the sampling and a soil suitability reconnaissance survey - Bookabie SA. Many projects are currently on the ground around Australia and are being sampled according methodologies to monitor the changes of carbon saequestered in soils.
Innovative Land Management
Demonstrating on farm practices to reduce agricultural emissions and increase carbon sequestration with biological amendments in pasture cropping and no-till cropping systems project - 24 trial sites sampled over 4 years for soil carbon, total chemistry and soil biology (DNA) - Wellington NSW. Bootstrap Environmental Services continue to sample soils to monitor changes under various land management techniques and management practices.

Increasing Landscape Function
Soil carbon sequestration through landscape function improvement aimed at demonstrating practices that increase soil carbon as pasture cropping, holistic management & NSF funded by DAFF as part of the Action on the Ground program - sampling sites over NSW and VIC. Various concurrent monitoring methods can contribute to quality data about soils.
